Legacy Amendment Task Force

The task force meets as needed to coordinate programs funded by Minnesota’s Legacy Amendment. MELSA and its member libraries plan and implement free public programs and projects in the arts, cultural heritage, literary arts and Minnesota history as designated in Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.

Accessibility Task Force

The Accessibility Task Force was appointed in April 2018 to work with MELSA staff to maintain and enhance the Disability Resources site. Launched in March 2018, the site offers disability awareness and training resources for library staff and users along with information about local organizations that provide assistance to persons with disabilities.

The Volunteer Interest Group discusses a variety of concerns related to how to recruit, recognize, and best use volunteers in the libraries. Technology Team

Directive: The MELSA Technology Team meets to collaborate and advise MELSA on regional technology purchases, and to discuss and share information on topics, trends, and best practices in the library technology field. Recent examples include digital services, hardware and applications, and data collection and analysis. Most members of the Team also serve as their system’s liaison(s) for state and federal telecommunications aid programs coordinated by MELSA.
