Hyatt Regency Minneapolis, 1300 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN 55403

Hennepin County Library, Saint Paul Public Library, Ramsey County Library and MELSA will once again be hosting the Manga Reading Lounge @ Anime Detour.  The event takes place downtown at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis. The Lounge will be open from 12-8pm on Friday, April 3, 10am-8pm on Saturday, April 4, and 10am-2pm on Sunday, April 5.  The purpose of the Manga Reading Lounge is to offer Anime Detour attendees the chance to relax, read some manga, and find out what their local library has to offer for otaku (fans of anime and manga).

Last year, Ambassadors from six metro library systems staffed this event.  If you are interested in working this year’s event, please sign up for a shift below. Shifts are two hours long, and you are welcome to sign up for more than one! You do not need to be registered for Anime Detour in order to be an Ambassador at this event--we will have badges available for staff to use at the event.

Once registered, watch for an email with more details a week or two before the event. And remember, working at this event must be done on library time with authorization from your supervisor. Questions? Contact Stephanie Wyman (
