MacPhail Center for Music is well known for their outstanding early childhood music programs and studies show that incorporating music at an early age supports reading readiness. MELSA is partnering with MacPhail to provide 300 public programs at MELSA libraries demonstrating to families and caregivers simple ways to incorporate music and stories for their little ones. Check with your local library for programs scheduled in your library system. Nearly 6,000 children will be reached through library programs and 22,000 Play Sing Learn CDs produced by MacPhail and MELSA will be distributed. Four training workshops for library staff will reach over 100 library professionals.
